e also had a lady
who came to us because her new husband was mildly allergic to her cats. She loved him and she loved her feline babies.
It used to be that folks who became allergic to their cat, often had to 're-home' the cats in favor of their loved one's improved health. ( I used to work for a
veterinarian who would say, in these circumstances, 'get a new husband'.) However, I believe that neither of those is a good solution for all concerned.
Clearly if your husband is so allergic that he ends up in the emergency room, suffering from a serious cat allergy, you may need to find a another home
for your cat. Understand, however, that there are many things you can do to keep your beloved cat in your home and keep your allergic husband healthy and happy.
We provided her with a protocol for folks who are allergic to their cats. After about 6 months, she reported that her husband's allergies had nearly subsided.
And her cats were happy and healthy.
