aura called me to say
that she has recently married. She and her husband were trying to meld their two families of cats, The cats were urinating out side their box, one of the cats was
terrifying the other two, who were living on top of a table, terrified to move.
And another of these felines was spraying in their new home. Not good news. Laura had two problems. She needed help in introducing the new pair of cats to the second
pair who had lived in this home for more than a year. Cats are very territorial and do not generally invite in strange cats -TWO strange cats. And Laura also had to
identify who was inproperly urinating and who was spraying outside the box.
I discussed with her a definite protocol, listing 6 things they needed to do. After a couple months of follow up emails and proper feline management, Laura reported
that the indiscriminate urination and spraying were gone, thankfully. And the cats are learning to tolerate each other.
